Hello,Thank you for your question regarding the Standout Latch Set.For the 1997 Club Car DS model, our standout latch is actually designed to attach directly to the header bar of the enclosure, rather than the roof of the cart itself. Because the latch relies on the specific frame structure of our system, you would need to have one of our DoorWorks Hinged Door Enclosures already installed to ensure the latch mounts and functions properly.The purpose of these latches is specifically to hold the doors open and away from the cart, which would resolve your issue of the doors rubbing on the tires. However, without the compatible DoorWorks header bar, there is no standard mounting point for them on a stock cart.
